San Pedro de Atacama - an oasis in midst of the driest desert
San Pedro de Atacama is a little gem in the driest desert Worldwide ! It is located on a plateau at 2200m altitude, delimited by the volcanic range separating Chile from Bolivia and Argentina, and the Cordileera del Sal. This little village, mainly living from the touristiic activity has astounishingly many attractions to offer. Besides the moon valley, the Guatin Canyon, the tation Geysers, the Cejar salty lagoon and the little saltflat, there are also many volcanoes. Du to its intermediate altitude. San Pedro de Atacama is ideal to start acclimatizing, climbing some volcanoes before following your trip in higher altitudes.
