Pomerape volcano mountain climbing Bolivia 6000 summit

volcan Pomerape  6280m - le plus bas des jumeaux Payachatas

Pomerape is the lower of the Payachatas (twins in Aymara native language).  When climbing the South face from the new refuge between the 2 volcanoes a 100m 55-60° wall awaits you before you reach the summit ! Eventhough it is 50m lower than Parinakhota volcano it is by far a more diverse and techincal route. There exists an easier route for less experienced climbers from the NE side. The volcano is usually climbed within one or two days.
